Direct Support Professional (DSP)

As a DSP, you will be responsible for:
Pay starts at $12.00 per hour.
Requirements:
Applicants must:
- Be at least 18 years of age.
- Have high school diploma or equivalent; or
- Twenty-one years old
- Has a valid Social Security number or valid work permit if not a U.S. Citizen.
- Pass background and drug screenings
- Has the ability to:
- Communicate effectively with participant and the participant’s family;
- Read, understand, and implement written and oral instructions;
- Perform required documentation (writing and simple math skills); and
- Participate as a member of the participant’s person-centered team if requested by the participant; and
- Demonstrates competence and knowledge on topics required to safely support the participant described in the participant’s person-centered service plan.
- Able to assist participants with personal care and needs including: frequent turning, lifting, bending, twisting, stooping, squatting, reaching, pushing, pulling, and walking.
Shift Availability:
- Monday-Friday 12am-8am; 4pm-12am
- Sunday-Saturday 12am-8am; 8a-4p; 4pm-12am
Responsibilities:
As a DSP, you will be responsible for:
- Providing care, supervision, and support to adult individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
- Working sites and shifts as assigned by the supervisor.
- Attend staff meetings, team meetings, and trainings as scheduled.
- Assisting with daily living activities, household cleaning chores, personal care, meal preparation, medication administration, financials, etc.
- Ensuring the safety and cleanliness of individual’s living environment.
- Supporting individuals in participating in community activities and achieving personal goals.
- Fostering positive relationships of care and respect with individuals served.
- Completing paperwork accurately and in a timely manner.
- Responsible for record keeping (MAR's, financial records, behavioral data, task analyses, daily notes, etc.),
- Arranging transportation when needed and medication administration.
- Staff will ensure the participant's compliance with rights restrictions that have been afforded due process:
- HRC approved restrictions
- Medically prescribed diets,
- Behavior plan objectives
- Perform other duties as required and/or assigned.

Family Home Provider (FHP):

Competitive 1099 contract wages.
Pre-requirements:
Qualifications:
- Eighteen or older and has a high school diploma or GED or
- Twenty-one years old
- Has a valid Social Security number or a valid work permit if not a U.S. Citizen.
- Pass background and drug screenings
- If responsible for driving a participant during a service delivery, has a valid driver’s license with proof of current mandatory liability insurance for the vehicle used to transport the participant
- Has the ability to:
- Communicate effectively with a participant and the participant’s family;
- Read, understand, and implement written and oral instructions;
- Perform required documentation; and
- Participate as a member of the participant’s person-centered team if requested by the participant; and
- Able to assist participants with personal care and needs including: frequent turning, lifting, bending, twisting, stooping, squatting, reaching, pushing, pulling, and walking.

- Assist in the daily operation of the family home provider staffed residence.
- Providing care, supervision, and support to adult individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
